SCOTT Parker is hopeful exciting young duo Jordan Zemura and Jaidon Anthony can join the growing list of Cherries players to extend their contracts with the club.

This summer has seen key trio Mark Travers, Dominic Solanke and Lewis Cook all sign contract extensions to remain at Vitality Stadium.

While Cherries triggered clauses in the contracts of Zemura and Anthony during their breakthrough campaigns last term, each currently sees their deal expire in less than 12 months' time.

Zemura, 22, joined Cherries in the summer of 2019, following a successful trial period.

He has since forged a close relationship with fellow Londoner Anthony, also 22, who first arrived at the club in 2016, following a lengthy spell at Arsenal.

Asked if talks were ongoing regarding new contracts for the pair and if he was hopeful of a positive outcome, Parker told the Daily Echo: "Yeah, I hope so. I hope that will be the case.

"I hope there's a resolution to both of them.

"I don't know at this present moment in time exactly where that is sitting.

"But like all the players, Dom, Travers, we're a football club that want to try and tie down these players, these young players that are going to be the future of the club and hopefully that will be the case with those two as well."
