CHERRIES striker Christian Saydee has turned out for Portsmouth in a pre-season friendly.

The 20-year-old, who scored on his professional debut for Cherries in July 2021, spent the second half of last season on loan at Burton Albion.

And it appears another move away from Vitality Stadium could be on the cards.

Saydee, listed as a trialist, played 45 minutes for League One Pompey, in their pre-season opener against neighbours Havant & Waterlooville.

While he did not find the net, the talented forward is said to have impressed for Danny Cowley's men at Westleigh Park. Saydee is set for another run out in a friendly against Gosport Borough this afternoon.

The former Reading youngster joined Cherries as a 16-year-old and featured five times for the club's first-team under Scott Parker last season.

His only goal came in his first appearance, a 5-0 Carabao Cup win over MK Dons at Vitality Stadium.

Saydee failed to find the net during his 18-game stint at Burton.

The Hillingdon-born talent signed a new contract at Cherries in March, which runs until the summer of 2023.
