DANNY Ford insists there are currently no plans to look to change Poole Pirates' septet.

The past few weeks has seen various alterations to the one-to-sevens of many Championship clubs.

However, Ford says he is happy with how Poole's team is shaping up, heading into the second half of the season.

Discussing the recent team changes around the league, Ford told the Daily Echo: "I’ve been surprised by a few. But it seems everyone has strengthened in one way or another.

"Probably at not a great time, we’ve got some tough fixtures coming up against some strong opposition. But hey ho, that’s the position we’re in.

"I’ve got so much confidence in this team. I think on our day we can beat anyone, especially over two legs.

"It can’t be a bad thing for the league as a whole, everyone strengthening up and putting on some tough fixtures. Hopefully it doesn’t come to our detriment."

Asked if he is happy with Poole's one-to-seven, Ford added: "Yeah, absolutely. We haven’t looked to make any team changes at all yet and I don’t think we will hopefully, if everything goes as it should do.

"We’ve seen how good this team can be and how good each individual rider can be on their day. So it’s just about getting that consistency now.

"We still haven’t clicked as a team quite as we should’ve just yet. But hopefully that comes sooner rather than later."

Pirates return to action against Plymouth Gladiators at Wimborne Road tomorrow (7.30pm).
