SWANAGE Town & Herston will host Southern League Poole Town at Day's Park next month.
The friendly has been arranged to mark the switching on of Dorset Premier League outfit Swans' new floodlights.
Swanage struggled on the pitch last season, finished 16th in their league table, above only Purbeck rivals Wareham Rangers and Corfe Castle.
Dolphins, who compete four levels higher than Swans in the non-league pyramid, placed ninth in Southern Premier South under long-serving boss Tom Killick.
Work to install floodlights at Day's Park has recently been completed, as part of the ongoing redevelopment and refurbishment of the ground.
The six hi-tech lights were fitted by specialist contractors Halliday Lighting Ltd, based in Kirby, Nottinghamshire.
Safety and operating testing was completed on Thursday evening, with the final sign-off completed this morning.
And the club have now announced the first game under the new lights will see Poole head along to Swanage on Friday, July 8 (7.45pm kick-off).
Poole's current pre-season schedule also includes matches at Merley Cobham Sports (July 2), Hamworthy Recreation (July 7) and Bashley (July 12), before home games against Weymouth (July 16) and Wimborne Town (July 23).
Meanwhile, Swanage have confirmed their annual Lee Crooks Shield match day will take place at Day's Park on Saturday, July 16, from 10.30am.
