CHERRIES are set to embark on their sixth Premier League campaign in August, after clinching promotion from the Championship.
The full fixture list has today been revealed, pairing Scott Parker's men with the visit of Aston Villa to Vitality Stadium on Saturday, August 6.
All of Cherries' five previous top-flight campaigns came under Eddie Howe, between 2015 and 2020.
Of the five opening round of Premier League fixtures in the past, Cherries have recorded just one victory.
August 8, 2015 -
Cherries 0-1 Aston Villa
Vitality Stadium was surrounding by a buzz of excitement ahead of kick-off as Cherries prepared for their first ever top-flight fixture.
For many in Howe's squad, it was their first chance to showcase their talents at Premier League level, but it proved fruitless as Villa grabbed the victory.
The only goal of the contest arrived on 72 minutes, when substitute Rudy Gestede headed home.
Cherries had plenty of chances to take at least a point, with Marc Pugh, Dan Gosling and Callum Wilson all going close.
But Tim Sherwood's new-look side took the spoils.

Cherries had to wait until the Sunday of the opening weekend to kick-off their 2016-17 campaign.
Again handed a home fixture, Howe's men were soundly beaten as Jose Mourinho made a winning start to life as Man Utd boss.
Juan Mata broke the deadlock shortly before half-time, with Wayne Rooney doubling the tally just before the hour mark.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic then marked his Premier League debut with a goal from distance, before Adam Smith notched a consolation.

The run of defeats on the opening day continued with a disappointing reverse at The Hawthorns.
Tasked with an away fixture to begin the Premier League season for the first time, Cherries slumped to a 1-0 loss.
Debutant Ahmed Hegazy got the only goal, heading in from a free-kick.

Cherries finally broke their duck and started the Premier League season with a victory in 2018.
Newly-promoted Cardiff headed to Vitality Stadium and fell behind when Ryan Fraser fired in from close range.
Callum Wilson then saw a penalty saved by Neil Etheridge, sparking a revival from the Bluebirds.
But Howe's charges held firm with Asmir Begovic impressing in goal, before the hosts sealed the 2-0 victory at the death, through Wilson.

Cherries' final season of their first spell in the Premier League began in heartbreaking fashion.
Fans felt confident of another win against a newly-promoted side to start their campaign, but Cherries struggled to find their rhythm as they lined up with a back three.
Despite that, they did take the lead on 62 minutes when Chris Mepham gleefully slammed home his first goal for the club.
But, at the death, veteran Billy Sharp popped up to earn Chris Wilder's men a share of the spoils.
