CHILEAN international Ben Brereton Diaz is reportedly a target for Cherries, according to the Sun.

The Blackburn Rovers striker has apparently drawn attention from numerous Premier League clubs, whilst also attracting admirers from the continent.

Aside from Cherries, Everton and Leeds have been reported as tracking the 23-year-old, who bagged 22 Championship goals last season.

In Spain, it is believed that Sevilla, Real Betis and Valencia are keeping tabs on the Stoke-born striker.

After representing England at youth level, Brereton Diaz took up the opportunity to play for Chile, qualifying for the South American country as his mother hails from there.

Whilst a new deal has not been agreed with their leading goalscorer, Rovers have activated a clause in his current contract, extending it for a further year.

As such, the former Nottingham Forest man has just one year left on his deal, with Blackburn expected to consider offers in the region of £13 million.

It remains to be seen whether Cherries will opt to strengthen their frontline prior to addressing other areas of the pitch, however.

Dominic Solanke appears to be a perfect fit for Scott Parker’s style of play, as made evident by his 29 league strikes last term, while January signing Kieffer Moore, whilst offering something different, has also proven he can provide goals.

It is currently understood that no side, Spanish or English, have made a formal offer for the former Manchester United youngster.
