FORMER Cherries youngster Jordan Seabright will join eighth tier Wimborne Town as goalkeeping coach ahead of the new season.

Forced to quit football due to work commitments after playing spells with Cherries, Poole Town, Weymouth, and Dagenham & Redbridge, Seabright will join existing goalkeeping coach Matt Maybury at the New Cuthbury.

Speaking about the move, Magpies boss James Stokoe told the club website: “Bringing Jordan in is a big step forward for us as a coaching staff.

“He had a good playing career before work made him step aside and has been keeping up to date with the local keepers.

“He now wants to start passing down his knowledge and helping improve our keepers.

“Jordan will be an excellent addition to our back-room staff.”

Seabright was equally as positive, saying: “I’m looking forward to getting back into the game and very grateful to James Stokoe and Matt Maybury for letting me come in to help.

“I’ve been out of the game for a couple years due to work commitments, but I have a massive passion for goalkeeping and this is a great opportunity with a club with ambition and great facilities. I’m looking forward to getting started.”
