CHERRIES are one of three clubs reportedly interested in signing Crystal Palace youngster Nya Kirby.

Midfielder Kirby has made just one senior competitive appearance for the Eagles, which coincidentally came against Cherries last season.

He started and played 70 minutes as Palace drew 0-0 at Vitality Stadium in the EFL Cup in September 2020, before losing 11-10 on penalties.

Kirby's only other first-team experience came during loan spells at Blackpool and Tranmere Rovers.

According to a report by football website Vavel, the 22-year-old is set to be released by Palace this summer, becoming a free agent. Cherries, Watford and Belgian side Club Brugge have all been credited with an interest.

On the international stage, Kirby is an under-17 World Cup winner with England.

The Islington-born ace has also represented his country at under-18 and under-19 level.

Kirby came through the Tottenham academy before leaving to join the Eagles in 2017, but has been restricted to Premier League 2 action this season.
