CHERRIES have snapped up teenage forward Dominic Sadi to join the club's development squad.

Sadi, who came through the youth ranks at West Ham United, has more recently plied his tried at Wingate & Finchley in the Isthmian League Premier Division.

The 18-year-old's move is subject to confirmation from the EFL, Premier League and the FA, ahead of him joining up with Shaun Cooper's development squad next season.

“It feels very good to be here,” Sadi told Cherries' website.

“It was a good experience coming in and meeting all of the boys.

“I’m really delighted about it and it all just feels very welcoming here at Bournemouth, so it’s been nice.”

Discussing his time at north London-based Wingate in the seventh tier of English football, Sadi added: "Non-league has matured me very well, especially playing it while I’ve been young.

“Playing men’s football has just toughened me up physically and mentally and made me ahead of my peers; it’s improved me a lot.

“In men’s football you learn, you get a lot of insight of how people of an older age carry themselves around both on and off the football pitch.

“It’s all just professionalism around them and as a young kid like myself, it’s good to see that early so I can progress from there.”

He added: “I’d say I’m very creative, technical and very hard working off the ball, so I’m always around on the pitch trying to get the ball and get involved in a game."
