LEGENDARY boss Eddie Howe expressed his delight at seeing Cherries earn promotion back to the Premier League and insisted Scott Parker had done a “wonderful job” at Vitality Stadium.
Howe was the first man to pilot Cherries to England’s elite level back in 2015.
He dragged the club from the depths of the Football League to a club record-breaking ninth-placed Premier League finish, across two spells in charge of the Dorset outfit.
Now in charge of Premier League Newcastle, having saved them from relegation this season, Howe said it was great to see his former club back in the big time.
He said: “I actually sat down and watched the game, and I haven't watched many Bournemouth games since I left.
“I'm delighted for them and I'm so pleased for Scott Parker, who's done a wonderful job.
“It's great to see them back."
