IT was a similar story at the Black Gold stadium on Saturday afternoon, after Poole Town cruised past Harrow Borough 3-0 courtesy of a Tony Lee brace.

Dolphins bagman Lee reached the landmark of 30 league goals with his double against the London outfit, with his first-half tap-in preceeding a second-half spot-kick.

This campaign Lee has bagged seven braces to go alongside a hat-trick and quadruple, bringing up his total to 32 goals in 35 games across all competitions.

Addwell Chipangura made it 3-0 late on to cap off a solid performance from the Dolphins, who, like their opponents Harrow, have nothing to play for except pride.

Boss Tom Killick made a notable change to the shape of his side, pairing Lee with his understudy, Will Fletcher, in a two-man strikeforce.

The extra forward coincided with an attacking impetus from the Dolphins, with the hosts probing the visitors for the majority of the opening stages.

Despite hemming Harrow in their own half for large periods of the first 25 minutes, Poole would find the opener on the break.

Jack Dickson tore through from right-back, bursting past a Harrow backline stranded on the half-way line.

Bearing down on goal with Lee in support, Dickson selflessly squared the ball whilst one-on-one with ‘keeper Joshua Strizovic, allowing Lee the opportunity to place the ball in an empty net.

Down at the other end, Lee’s opposite number James Ewington found himself in a similar situation, six-yards out with the goal agape.

However, Harrow’s number nine could not quite steer a powerful cross home, instead sending it over the bar and sparing the Poole defence.

Dolphins were arguably lucky again in the second-half, after confusion momentarily reigned at the Black Gold Stadium.

The whistle initially blew for hand-ball on the edge of Harrow’s box, with match official Lewis Sandoe awarding a free-kick.

He quickly changed his mind and pointed to the spot, before deciding to confer with the assistant on the far side.

Eventually Lee stepped up to slot the penalty home, putting the Dolphins two goals ahead 10 minutes into the second-half.

Lee could have had a hat-trick as the game neared its conclusion, but the hotshot was unable to fire home from a tight angle when one-on-one.

In the end substitute Chipangura rounded off the three points, calmly placing the ball home after it had fell kindly to him at a corner.

Poole remain 10th as they approach the Cross-Stour derby with Wimborne Town on Monday.
