NEW MILTON star Carla Rudkin-Guillen clinched a gold medal at the British Karate Championships, sealing her spot to represent England.
Rudkin-Guillen trains under the guidance of her father and ex-England professional, Collin, at the Southern England Karate Foundation.
Carla took gold in the Cadet Kata category at the competition in Leicester over the weekend, which has subsequently seen her selected to represent England at the forthcoming Junior European Championships.
They will be held in Prague, in June.
Rudkin-Guillen has been helped along the way by sponsorship duo Sandbanks Construction and 1-1 Diet with Laura Legg.
Towards the end of 2021, the teenager, who attends Ballard Independent School, collected a handful of medals at the USA Open in Las Vegas.
