SCOTT Parker admits Robbie Brady has been "frustrated" in his battle against injury, but insisted: "He could help us for the run-in."

The Republic of Ireland international this week returned to full training with Cherries, after a wretched time out of action.

Since joining the club on a free transfer in October, Brady has made just four appearances.

The former Burnley midfielder featured in three games in a row in December, making cameo displays off the bench against Fulham and Middlesbrough, as well as completing the full 90 minutes in defeat to Blackburn Rovers.

He then featured against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup on January 8, but has not been part of a matchday squad since, due to a calf problem.

However, the 30-year-old is now back in full training with Cherries and could feature either against Derby County on Saturday, or Reading on Tuesday.

Asked how eager Brady is to get back on the pitch after a frustrating spell on the sidelines, Parker told the Daily Echo: "Robbie has been probably one of the most frustrated out of everyone really.

"It’s been very stop-start. It’s been niggly for Rob, so he’s pleased to be back.

"We need to try and keep him back now, keep him ticking along, because he’s got big quality, big experience as well and he could help us for the run-in."
