BOSS Scott Parker hailed the “proper professionalism” shown by Jamal Lowe, as he helped to spark Cherries’ dramatic comeback win at Blackpool.

Having been left out of the matchday squad for the visit of Birmingham City to Vitality Stadium last week, Lowe was recalled following the injury sustained by Kieffer Moore.

The Jamaica international entered the fray with 20 minutes remaining against the Tangerines on Saturday, with Neil Critchley’s side a goal to the good.

Lowe helped Cherries turn the game on its head after converting Todd Cantwell’s deflected cross from close range, with four minutes remaining at Bloomfield Road.

Parker’s men went on to seal a 2-1 triumph thanks to Siriki Dembele’s near-post strike.

Asked post-match about the impact of Lowe, Parker told the Daily Echo: “An unbelievable moment and fair play to Jamal.

“He was left out of the squad last week, was training at one o’clock on Wednesday afternoon, while there was a game on Wednesday evening. Not in the squad.

“He trained unbelievable. Proper professionalism and how quick football changes.

“Kieffer Moore gets injured and Jamal is in and around it. He came on, on Saturday, and contributed to this team like he has done before.

“That will do the world of good for Jamal because I do feel over the past few weeks, confidence-wise, that will be massive for him and fully deserved.”

Lowe has featured 23 times in all competitions for the Dorset club, since moving from Swansea on deadline day last summer.

The former Portsmouth attacker has netted in games against Bristol City and Reading, as well as his latest goal against the Tangerines.

Having played on the wing or centrally this season, he will be tasked with providing competition for Dominic Solanke, after Moore was confirmed as having a broken foot.

Wales international Moore is set for around two months on the sidelines.
