CHERRIES defender Chris Mepham is reportedly out for around two weeks due to injury.
The centre-back was preferred to Gary Cahill in the starting XI for Cherries’ 1-0 defeat to Hull on Saturday.
But he went down holding his left hamstring and was withdrawn to be replaced by the former England international.
BBC Radio Solent have reported Mepham faces a fortnight on the sidelines.
Asked for an update on his injury post-match on Saturday, boss Scott Parker said: "It looks like a hamstring. I’m not sure how serious it is.
"We still don’t know. He said it was a general tightness.
“I’m not sure whether he’s actually felt it, so maybe we’ve caught it a little bit early."
Mepham has played 20 times for Cherries in all competitions this season.
Parker’s side make the trip to Barnsley on Saturday.
