THE fact that Hamworthy United are into the next round of the FA Vase is more than enough for Tim Sills, who believe his side can take on anyone they get in the fifth round draw (3.15pm).

When the Hammers were down 2-0 at half-time on Saturday, the prospect of being in the hat for the last 16 was somewhat doubtful, but Sills’ charges battled back to complete a turnaround in the second-half, eventually winning 3-2.

Whilst of course, Sills would prefer a home draw rather than a long trek up north, the former Torquay and Oxford United man is just happy to still be in the competition.

Sills told the Daily Echo: “Well, whatever happens, we’ll attack it and be positive wherever we have to go.

“Yes, obviously a home draw is the ideal – it’s always good to get home advantage anyway, but especially when it goes national and you have potential trips that at this level certainly provide some different logistics and some quite tough situations in terms of people's work and things.

“So yes, it would be great to have a home draw but essentially, after half-time, if you'd said to me that you can go through to the next round, but you might have to go on a bit of a trip, I would have just snapped your hand off!

“We’re just grateful to be in the hat at the moment and we'll take whatever comes our way.”

The Vase draw will be hosted live on TalkSport at 3.15pm, with fifth round ties scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 12. Winners at this stage will pocket £2,250, whilst losing sides will receive £750.
