CHERRIES head coach Scott Parker confirmed it was a “tactical” decision to take off Jaidon Anthony at half-time against Luton and admitted: “He struggled a little bit.”
The winger was replaced by Jamal Lowe for the second half at Kenilworth Road with the Dorset club 2-0 down at the break.
Lowe played an integral role in providing the assist for fellow substitute Morgan Rogers to slam home an equaliser for 2-2 – before Kal Naismith’s last-gasp winner saw Luton run out 3-2 victors.
Anthony has featured in all 26 of Cherries’ Championship contests this season, starting on 23 occasions.
Asked why he took off the former Arsenal youngster at half-time, Parker replied: “Just tactical, really.
“I thought he struggled a little bit on Saturday.
"Jaidon wasn’t probably at his best on Saturday – I think that’s probably fair to say.
“I just felt we needed to change something. Two goals down we needed to give us a bit of impetus and Jamal did that.
“He got an assist and gave us that. It was just tactical really.”
