LUTON Town boss Nathan Jones admitted he “lost my head” after the Hatters found their dramatic late winner against Cherries – and injured his hamstring in the process.

Kenilworth Road was sent into raptures after Kal Naismith’s 97th-minute strike nestled the bottom corner from the edge of the box to give Luton a 3-2 win over Scott Parker’s men.

An emotional Jones celebrated in front of the home fans with a knee slide when the goal went in – and admits he may have done himself some harm along the way.

He said: “Yes, I have done my hamstring. I’ve lost my head.

“Emotions sometimes get the better of you but I’m an emotional guy.

“I’ve pulled it by doing the knee slide!

“We’re a special club, very insular. It’s not a fantastic stadium but when the Keni is packed, it rocks and what a way to win a game.

“It’s hard to explain why I celebrated how I did – it was an out of body experience.

"My glute, my hamstring and the lot will be on ice tonight! Either that or it will be immersed in red wine.”

The hosts had taken the lead from a fortuitous Lloyd Kelly own goal before midfielder Allan Campbell doubled their advantage with an impressive strike from 25 yards out.

Cherries hit back through Emiliano Marcondes and Morgan Rogers to level at 2-2 before Naismith’s pivotal moment.

Regardless of his side’s success over Cherries, Jones still believes the Dorset club will return to the Premier League.

“It was a wonderful way to win a game against a really good side. This lot will get promoted, you can't even argue with that,” he added.
