IT appears Cherries target Kieffer Moore is going nowhere this window, as Cardiff manager Steve Morison quashed ‘made up’ rumours surrounding interest in the Welsh International.

Last week Cherries were linked with the burly target-man, leading to Morison subtly refuting claims that his currently injured star was on the move.

However, ahead of the Bluebirds’ game with Blackburn, Morison told press that discussing Moore’s future was a ‘pointless conversation’ as he believes that Moore is happy at the Cardiff City stadium, with no contact regarding a potential move being made to the Welsh club.

As reported by WalesOnline, Morison stated: "Ultimately, every window it is a conversation.

"It’s just something that’s made up in the press, because until someone gives us an actual phone call, it feels like a bit of a pointless conversation.

"We keep having the same conversation and nothing ever changes.

“As far as I’m concerned, Kieffer hasn’t knocked on my door or an agent hasn’t phoned me up, or the board.”

With Eddie Howe signing Chris Wood for his new side Newcastle, speculation has linked Wood’s former team Burnley with a like-for-like replacement in the form of Moore.

However, Morison gave no credence to the rumour, stating: "Chris Wood signs for Newcastle and everyone will be telling me he is going to Burnley tomorrow.

"Someone puts it on social media and it causes an unnecessary storm."

So unbothered by the speculation, Morison revealed that he hadn’t even discussed Moore’s future with the former Dorchester striker.

"Unless you lot ask me the question, it’s not something which is spoken about,” continued Morison.

"There is nothing in it whatsoever."
