CHERRIES continued their march in the FA Youth Cup with an impressive 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers.

Goals from Daniel Adu-Adjei and Noa Boutin sealed the win, sending Alan Connell's side through to the fifth round.

Rangers, who operate a category two academy compared to Cherries' category three status, were second best throughout at Vitality Stadium.

The tone was set in just the third minute when full-back Finn Tonks crossed for Adu Adjei to slot past goalkeeper Matteo Salamon.

Michael Dacosta Gonzalez, the hero of the third-round win at Exeter City, came close on two occasions to doubling the lead before half-time.

Ben Winterburn was then denied by Salamon.

And the victory was secured with 14 minutes to play as Boutin broke forwards and fired home to delight the crowd of 891, with Cherries' first-team stars Jefferson Lerma, Chris Mepham and Leif Davis among those in attendance.

Cherries progress through to face either Leicester City or Crewe Alexandra, again at home, for a spot in the quarter-finals.
