A DATE has been confirmed for Cherries' rearranged Championship clash with Peterborough United.

Scott Parker's men had been set to welcome Darren Ferguson's Posh to Vitality Stadium on Monday, January 3.

However, following COVID-19 cases and injuries among Cherries' squad, the Dorset club's request to postpone the fixture was granted by the EFL board.

As such, a new midweek date has now been found.

Cherries will now host Peterborough on Tuesday, March 8. The game will kick-off at 7.45pm.

The club have confirmed all purchased tickets for last week's original date will be valid for the rescheduled fixture. Alternatively, fans can apply for a full refund.

The match now falls in between a trip to Preston North End (March 5) and a home clash with Derby County (March 12).

Meanwhile, Cherries' Championship trip to West Bromwich Albion on February 5 will now also have to be rearranged.

That is due to Parker's men reaching the fourth round of the FA Cup, meaning they will now be hosting Boreham Wood across that weekend instead.
