EVEN before Steve Cook's move to Nottingham Forest was confirmed, hundreds of Cherries fans took to social media to share their well wishes and memories of a modern day Cherries legend.
It is seems extremely rare we see a footballer stay at a club for a decade - with Cook just reaching the impressive landmark, with January 3 marking the 10th anniversary of his move from Brighton in January 2011.
Initially signing on loan in October, Cherries parted with £150,000 to bring the defender across the south coast, with the fee arguably the best bit of business the club has ever done.
Here are just some of the numerous Tweets Cherries fans posted online.
So gutted to lose @SteveCook28 😭😭 #afcb

On the 3/12 Steve Cook was likely to know that his #AFCB career was coming to an end but he put on that Red & Black shirt with pride as he always has & threw his body in front of a close range shot twice.
