CHERRIES are one of a number of clubs linked with a possible January move for Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun.

The 20-year-old has been prolific for the Gunners' under-23s this season, but has found first-team opportunities limited.

New York-born Balogun started on the opening day of the Premier League season against Brentford and has since featured against Chelsea, as well as AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup.

The striker has made a total of nine appearances for Arsenal's senior side, having debuted in October 2020.

He has scored twice, both in the Europa League, in wins away to Molde and Dundalk after coming off the bench.

Recent national reports have suggested the England under-21 international was a loan target for a host of Championship clubs, including Cherries, Middlesbrough and Swansea City, as well as French side St Etienne.

Dorset Live have today claimed Cherries to be the "leading the race" to snap up Balogun when the transfer window opens in less four weeks.
