FLYING Scotsman Ryan Christie revealed how Scott Parker’s passion for Cherries’ style of play convinced him to head to the south coast.

The 26-year-old joined Cherries from Celtic for a reported £2.5million on transfer deadline day back in the summer.

Mainly operating out wide for the Dorset club, Christie has registered six assists from 13 games this season.

Asked about his conversations with Parker before making the move to Vitality Stadium, Christie said: “I think that is one of the things you want to do before you sign for a club is you want to speak to the manager and try and understand the way he wants to play football.

“There was a few different clubs interested and I spoke to a few different managers but the gaffer by a longshot was the most impressive in terms of how passionate he was in the way he wanted to play and the way he wanted me to play.

“I think both suited me down to the ground.

“The main thing is once I've come here, I've seen that in the flesh and yeah, I've loved working under him ever since I got here.”

Christie is set to be in Cherries’ squad for tomorrow night’s clash at Millwall (7.45pm).
