NEW recruit Ryan Christie insisted Cherries had to be “relentless” to seal success in the Championship this season, as Scott Parker’s side get set to take on Queens Park Rangers.

Former Celtic man Christie made his first appearance in a Cherries shirt on Saturday, coming off the bench during the 3-0 victory over Barnsley.

And while fourth-placed QPR represent a step up in class for the Dorset outfit, Christie is keen to keep his side’s form.

The three-time Scottish title winner told the Daily Echo: “The games come thick and fast.

“Especially for us, when you’re wanting to go for a league title, you need to be relentless.

“The gaffer has touched on that as well.

“Hopefully as the games keep building and we get more and more into that routine, another home game which is nice for us, so hopefully another three points and we can move on from there.”

Scotland international Christie has joined a Cherries side unbeaten from their opening six contests, with three wins and three draws to total 12 points.
