SCOTT Parker outlined his "really good relationship" with Barnsley captain Cauley Woodrow and admits: "He's a proven goalscorer in this division."

Striker Woodrow is set to lead the line for the Tykes at Vitality Stadium tomorrow (3pm).

The 26-year-old is a former teammate of Cherries boss Parker, the pair featuring regularly together at Fulham, particularly during the 2014-15 campaign.

Since moving to Barnsley from Fulham in the summer of 2018, Woodrow has netted 50 goals in 134 appearances, including 26 strikes across the past two Championship campaigns.

Discussing the former England under-21 international, Parker told the Daily Echo: "He’s a good player. I really like Cauley, I get on really well with him.

"A really good relationship outside of a professional one as well really, so he’s done very, very well.

"A proven goalscorer in this division. I’ve faced him a couple of times and been on the end of him scoring a few goals against me as well, so hopefully that won’t be the case at the weekend!

"But he’s a very good player at this level."
