CHERRIES’ David Brooks and Chris Mepham receive Wales call-ups for the upcoming international break.

The Welsh side are set to face Finland, Belarus and Estonia in a double-header that features two away trips and a home tie for the latter.

Manager Rob Page has drawn the Cherries stars into his squad for the treble, after winger Brooks scored twice on the EFL Cup opening day against MK Dons before following that up with a goal at Nottingham Forest – although he also saw red that day.

Brooks has already played 21 times for his country, scoring twice.

Defender Mepham has also received 21 caps and has started all four Championship games so far this season for Cherries, after serving a suspension in the MK Dons cup fixture.

Wales kick off their camp fixtures with a visit to Finland on Wednesday 1 September.
