POOLE Pirates will again run with two guest riders when they welcome Edinburgh Monarchs to Wimborne Road tomorrow night.

Pirates announced on Monday the acquisition of young Dane Benjamin Basso, who will take up the vacant number two spot later this week.

Zane Keleher began the season as Pirates' number two, only to be dropped and replaced by Ondrej Smetana.

However, due to travel issues, Smetana never turned a wheel for Poole, which has seen them move for Basso.

But with the 20-year-old not eligible to race until Friday night, Pirates will again use a guest replacement tomorrow, with Kyle Bickley filling in, as he did in victory at Plymouth last month.

The number six spot will also be filled by a guest.

Impressive reserve Ben Cook continues to recover from a leg injury, and his place will be taken by brother Zach Cook.

Pirates are looking to extend their unbeaten run to nine meetings.

Edinburgh should boast a full one-to-seven, meaning siblings Richie and Steve Worrall are set to go head-to-head at Poole Stadium.

Pirates: Schlein, Bickley (guest), S Worrall, Nielsen, King, Z Cook (guest), Hume.

Edinburgh: Masters, Lawson, Thomson, Pickering, R Worrall, Crang, Greaves.
