SCOTT Parker revealed Junior Stanislas would play a part in Cherries’ Carabao Cup first round encounter with MK Dons on Saturday.
The winger re-signed for the club on a two-year deal earlier this month, having previously seen his contract at Vitality Stadium expire at the end of June.
Stanislas was part of Cherries’ 2015 Championship winning squad under Eddie Howe.
And Parker revealed the former Burnley and West Ham ace was “in a good place” to help the Dorset club push for promotion once again.
Quizzed on Stanislas’s fitness, Parker said: “He came back in a good place.
“He was training on his own, Junior, for a number of weeks, so just easing him back into football work really and not just running is very different.
“Junior will be involved at the weekend in some capacity really. We will try to get some minutes for him.
“He’s in a good place, we just need to pick up his ball work more than where he has been.”
Stanislas has played 166 times for Cherries in total, scoring 36 goals.
