CHERRIES are reportedly in “pole position” to land sought-after free agent Scott Dann.
Football Insider claims the 34-year-old is admired by head coach Scott Parker, and the Dorset club are said to be leading the chase for his signature.
Dann has been without a club since his contract expired at Crystal Palace last month.
The Liverpool-born defender played 181 times for Palace, scoring 16 goals.
Earlier in his career, Dann played for the likes of Walsall, Coventry City, Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers before moving to Selhurst Park.
He has proved a thorn in Cherries' side in the past, scoring four goals in eight appearances against the Dorset club.
Cherries have already added free agent Emiliano Marcondes to their group ahead of the new Championship campaign, with Parker earlier this month stating he was still looking to add to his group.
Cherries kick off their competitive fixture schedule with a home clash against MK Dons on Saturday, July 31.
