ALL LOUNGES and Cosy Club across the country will close early tomorrow to allow their staff to watch the final of Euro 2020.

The two Loungers restaurant chains will be closing their restaurants in England at 7pm on Sunday July 11 so that staff don’t miss the historic match.

After beating Denmark in the semi-final of the European Championship on Wednesday, the Three Lions face off against Italy at Wembley in their first appearance at a men’s major tournament final for over half a century.

On its social media page, Cosy Club said: “We have decided to close our Cosy Clubs in England this Sunday at 7pm to allow our teams to (hopefully) enjoy history in the making.

“We will be in touch with all those who have booked.”

Across the UK, Loungers have 122 Lounges and 22 Cosy Club restaurants.

In Dorset, this includes Circo Lounges in Westbourne, Conto Lounge on Wimborne Road in Winton, Southbourne’s Ludo Lounge, the Arcado Lounge in Christchurch and the Delfino Lounge in Poole’s Dolphin Centre, as well as the Cosy Club on Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth.

Megan Gallagher, supervisor at the Ludo Lounge on Southbourne Grove said: “We are closing early tomorrow at 7pm so that all of our staff can watch the final of the European Championship and cheer on England.

“Our higher up managers made the decision and let us all know by email yesterday.

“Everyone from our team here has the choice of either going out to somewhere and watching it or staying in and watching it from home.

“Something like this only comes around once in a lifetime so we should make the most of it, plus it is a nice little treat for our staff.”
