DAVID Brooks is set to link up with Cherries this weekend, having spent extra time off due to his participation at Euro 2020.

Scott Parker's squad are due to fly out to Spain tomorrow for a nine-day training camp at Marbella Football Centre, a facility they have used in the past for pre-season.

They are set to end their stay with a clash against La Liga outfit Granada on Monday, July 19 (6pm) at the Federacion Malaguena de Futbol in Andalusia.

And the Daily Echo understands Brooks will be part of the travelling party following his exploits with Wales this summer.

The midfielder featured three times at Euro 2020, making appearances off the bench against Switzerland and Italy before featuring in their round of 16 4-0 loss to Denmark.

Meanwhile, fellow Wales team-mate Chris Mepham is not yet returning to the Cherries squad.

Mepham played a more prominent role than Brooks during the Euros, playing the full 90 minutes on three occasions.

It is understood both he and Jefferson Lerma, who represented Colombia over the summer, are set to join up with the squad at some point during their week in Spain.
