BOSS Jonathan Woodgate revealed Steve Cook was set to undergo a scan on a knee injury sustained against Brentford but said he “had a chance” of featuring in the play-off semi-final second leg.
Cook appeared to have picked up a knee problem earlier in the first half against the Bees at Vitality Stadium before soldiering on until first-half stoppage time.
He then went down having played a pass to David Brooks late in the opening period and had to be replaced by Chris Mepham.
Asked for an injury update on skipper Cook, Woodgate said: “He was playing well to be honest with you and it was a blow to lose Cookie.
“It’s a knee injury but I don’t know the whole prognosis. He'll get a scan over the next 48 hours. He’s got a chance."
Cook was seen limping as Cherries thanked the 2,000 fans in attendance post-match following the 1-0 success.
Cherries make the trip to Brentford Community Stadium for the semi-final second leg on Saturday.
