ARNAUT Danjuma has been nominated for the Championship player of the month award.

The Dutchman was in scintillating form for Cherries throughout March, scoring three goals and providing three assists and Cherries continued their push towards the play-offs.

Danjuma netted in three consecutive fixtures last month – a 1-1 draw at Preston North End, 3-2 home defeat against Barnsley and 3-0 victory over Swansea City.

The 24-year-old arrived at Cherries from Club Brugge for £13.7million in 2019, but struggled for game-time during his first season due to injury.

Danjuma has been nominated for the award, alongside Norwich City's Kenny McLean, Barnsley midfielder Alex Mowatt and Watford defender Francisco Sierralta.

The judging panel for the player of the month award comprises of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL communications director Mark Rowan and sponsors Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.

Danjuma is hoping to become the second Cherries player to win the award this season, after David Brooks scooped the trophy in November.

The winner of the March award is due to be announced tomorrow morning.
