CHRISTIAN Saydee bagged a match-winning brace as Cherries under-21s saw off Oxford United 2-0 in their latest friendly.
Striker Saydee netted in each half, following on from his goal against Bristol Rovers last week for Shaun Cooper's side.
Cherries named a host of players with first-team experience in their starting XI including Will Dennis, Gavin Kilkenny, Jaidon Anthony and Jordan Zemura.
After Zimbabwe international Zemura had failed to convert a couple of early efforts, Anthony and Nathan Moriah-Welsh both tried their luck, to no avail.
But the deadlock was broken just past the half-hour mark as Saydee turned and fired home inside the box.
Corey Jordan then had to be alert at the other end to clear a Callum Crook effort off the line and preserve the lead going into the break.
Saydee was denied by goalkeeper Eddie Brearey soon after the restart, after a neat team move involving Brooklyn Genesini and Anthony.
Substitute Ryan Glover then thought he had made it 2-0, with his strike coming back off both posts and falling at the feet of Luke Nippard, whose follow-up was saved.
But the second goal did follow as Saydee beat two men on the right before firing into the bottom corner.
Moriah-Welsh almost added a third at the death, smashing against the crossbar.
Cherries: Dennis, Gillela, Jordan, Greenwood, Zemura, Moriah-Welsh, Kilkenny, O'Connell, Anthony, Saydee, Trialist.
Subs: Genesini, Hunt, Nippard, Glover, Price.
