JUNIOR Stanislas missed this afternoon's trip to Blackburn due to illness, boss Jonathan Woodgate confirmed.
The former Burnley midfielder started Friday's win over Middlesbrough despite feeling unwell in the build-up, and was withdrawn after an hour.
And the 31-year-old was not part of the squad which beat Blackburn 2-0 at Ewood Park this afternoon.
His place in the team was taken by David Brooks, who made his first appearance since mid-February having recovered from an ankle injury.
Explaining Stanislas's absence, Woodgate told the Daily Echo: "He hasn’t been too well, Junior.
"In hindsight maybe I shouldn’t have played him but he wanted to play in the game a few days ago and he’s still not 100 per cent right, so I didn’t really want to risk him.
"It was a chance for Brooksy to come in as well and get some fitness."
Cherries remain seventh in the Championship, one point behind Reading with a game in hand.
Woodgate's men return to action against Coventry City at Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
