RODRIGO Riquelme insists no decision has yet been made regarding his future, as his loan deal at Cherries enters its final few months.

Riquelme arrived at Cherries in October, on a temporary stay from Atletico Madrid until the end of the season.

Cherries also have the option to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Riquelme, who featured twice for the Atletico Madrid first team last season, has struggled for regular game-time on the south coast, starting just three matches and coming off the bench on 13 occasions.

But the 20-year-old did impress in his recent showing against Swansea and has scored two goals during his time in England, netting against both Derby and Oldham.

Asked where he thinks his future lies come the end of the season, Riquelme told the Daily Echo: "Now, honestly, I am thinking here. Now I am on loan this year.

"When the year finishes, we will see what is the best for me, for Atletico, for Bournemouth, for everything.

"But now, my mentality is day-by-day, the here and now, be focused here, finish the season and then we will see."

The Spaniard will be hoping to feature when Cherries get back in action tomorrow.

Their home clash with Middlesbrough will be the first of seven games for Cherries this month as they look to force their way back into the play-off spots. They currently sit seventh, three points behind Reading, a club Riquelme spent time training at shortly before joining Cherries.

"We have big games, very big games and a hard month," said Riquelme.

"But I think this team has a lot of quality, a lot of hard work so I think that we are going to finish the season as everyone wants.

"We have to do hard training because we have two hard months. We have to win every game, so we have to train hard."

The regular Championship season finishes on May 8.
