JONATHAN Woodgate admitted to being "really frustrated" by Cherries' draw at Preston.
The visitors looked in control at half-time, leading 1-0 through Arnaut Danjuma's clinical finish.
Jefferson Lerma, Lewis Cook and Lloyd Kelly all tested goalkeeper Daniel Iversen during that first half, but the goalkeeper was equal to the tasks.
And that proved costly as Preston battled back to earn a 1-1 draw thanks to Daniel Johnson's low finish with 20 minutes to play.
Asked if how disappointed it was to come away with just a point, Woodgate told the Daily Echo: "Really frustrated. I thought our first-half performance was terrific.
"I thought we could’ve been two or three goals up at half-time. Their keeper made some outstanding saves.
"You need to put those games to bed and then in the second half they come back to bite you."
On the back of successive wins over Watford and Bristol City, Cherries fielded an unchanged team for the third game in a row at Deepdale.
Asked if that led to some tired legs in the second half as Preston fought their way back into the contest, Woodgate said: "It’s the same for both teams. The lads are fit enough to last the full 90 minutes."
