CHERRIES have been hit with an FA charge after their Championship contest with Watford ended with a late fracas on Saturday.
Arnaut Danjuma fired the decisive goal as Jonathan Woodgate’s side got the better of the Hornets 1-0, in a feisty affair at Vitality Stadium.
But the contest then erupted late on when Joao Pedro slid in on Jefferson Lerma and earned a second caution.
A brawl ensued in the aftermath with Cherries star Jack Wilshere also given a second booking following an altercation with Watford skipper Tom Cleverley.
The clubs have until Friday to respond to the charge.
A statement on Cherries' website read: “AFC Bournemouth and Watford FC have both been charged with a breach of FA Rule E20 following their EFL Championship fixture on Saturday 27th February.
“Both clubs allegedly failed to ensure that their players and/or club officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 96th minute of the fixture and they have until Friday 5th March to provide their responses.”
