SACKED manager Jason Tindall lifted the lid on Cherries’ “quiet” dressing room before his dismissal.

The 43-year-old was this morning relieved of his duties as manager of the Dorset club, after his squad’s wretched run of Championship form.

Cherries lost their fourth league game in a row after succumbing to a 2-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at Vitality Stadium last night.

Hours after that setback, Cherries’ board acted and axed Tindall from his position.

Speaking to the written media post-match following the defeat to the Owls, Tindall admitted the group needed to find their voice.

He said: “We’re such a quiet group.

“Even Jonathan Woodgate’s been here just a few days and one of the things he said – and he said to even the lads in there, this is probably the quietest dressing room he’s ever known in terms of a group of players and characters.

“With the dressing rooms he’s been in and the experience he’s got as a player – and coaching experience, it was interesting to hear him say.

“It’s something that I know – hence why I wanted to add players like Shane Long and Ben Pearson because I know that’s what this group need.

“They need those type of players that are going to have a voice on the pitch, have a voice in the changing room and work their socks off.

“Those players will certainly help. They will leave everything out there on the football pitch – their experience and their voice, their organisation will help because, as you see, it’s a young group of players that are lacking confidence and belief at the minute.

“Players like that with the experience and the knowhow and voice on the pitch – and the voice in the changing room – will make a big difference.”

Pearson and Long were brought in by Cherries during the final week of the transfer window – but will not make an appearance under former boss Tindall.

The Daily Echo understands that no other coaches have left Cherries at present, with no immediate replacement lined up.

The Dorset club are set to make a decision later today on who takes training. Cherries host Birmingham in the Championship on Saturday (3pm).
