CHERRIES are not looking to make Cameron Carter-Vickers's loan move from Tottenham Hotspur permanent before tomorrow's transfer deadline.

Carter-Vickers joined Cherries on a season-long deal in October and after a lengthy spell on the sidelines through injury, he made his debut against Oldham Athletic in the FA Cup earlier this month.

The 23-year-old USA international has gone on to play twice more so far for Jason Tindall's side.

Some reports in recent weeks suggested Cherries were keen to turn Carter-Vickers's loan move into a permanent deal this month, but boss Tindall says that is not the case.

Asked if he is looking to strike a deal with Tottenham before the end of the transfer window to tie Carter-Vickers down for longer, Tindall told the Daily Echo: "Cam’s here on loan until the end of the season and that’s the way it is at the minute.

"I’ve been really pleased with Cam. He’s a fantastic lad and trains extremely hard every day.

"But he’s here to the end of the season and that’s one we’ll just assess at the end of the season as to what happens."

Cherries have signed two players this month in Jack Wilshere and Ben Pearson. The transfer window closes at 11pm tomorrow.
