MANAGER Jason Tindall revealed Jack Simpson had “made his mind up” regarding a potential switch to Rangers, with Nnamdi Ofoborh in a “similar position”.

The Daily Echo understands the pair have been in talks with the Ibrox outfit about signing pre-contract agreements regarding summer moves.

Both players were left out of tonight’s 2-1 FA Cup fourth round victory over Crawley.

Should the pair sign pre-contract agreements with the Glasgow club, Cherries would receive compensation for Ofoborh as he is under the age of 24. Simpson would be set to leave on a free.

Asked for an update on the pair, Tindall said: “Obviously the Rangers thing is still going on. I think Jack’s made his mind up in terms of that’s where he wants to go and play his football.

“I think that one is pretty much going to happen. Nnamdi I think is in a similar position.

“I’ve got such a big squad to choose from. The likes of Jaidon Anthony, Gav Kilkenny and the other young guys – I think with their future firmly here at the football club, sometimes you have to give that priority.”

Asked whether Rangers could come in earlier than the summer for the pair, Tindall said: “It’s a possibility. It’s something that has happened in the past 24-48 hours in a sense of how quickly that’s moved on.

“What happens in the next 24-48 hours, who knows? It’s football, things move very quickly but it’s something that’s obviously not completely in our control.

“But if they do (come in earlier) and there’s an opportunity there, then I’m sure we will look at it.”
