CHARLTON Athletic boss Lee Bowyer has confirmed interest in Cherries ace Nnamdi Ofoborh, but believes the midfielder has "a lot more attractive offers" from elsewhere.

Ofoborh, who was an unused substitute for Tuesday night's defeat at Derby, has less than six months remaining on his contract at Cherries.

The 21-year-old made his first-team debut for Cherries in September of last year and has gone on to feature four more times in league and cup.

Speaking to London News Online about reported interest in signing Ofoborh, boss of League One Charlton Bowyer said: "I like the player but it's not going to be realistic bringing him here.

"There are a lot more attractive offers for him at a higher level and even some abroad as well.

"We're working hard to try and bring someone in and we're hopeful we can do that before the weekend."

Discussing the future of Ofoborh earlier this month, Cherries boss Jason Tindall told the Daily Echo: “If Nnamdi wants to stay at the football club, it is going to be down to him.

"He’s certainly a player we like and we want to keep."
