BOSS Jason Tindall said he would have words with midfielder Philip Billing to clarify a social media post from his account before tonight’s defeat at Derby.

The Daily Echo was made aware the Danish midfielder was left out of the squad to face the Rams due to an injury.

But ahead of kick-off at Pride Park, a comment from Billing’s verified Instagram account to a club fan page said: “Didn’t know I was injured.”

Without Billing, Cherries went on to lose 1-0 thanks to Krystian Bielik’s first-half winner.

Asked to clarify the situation surrounding Billing and the post from his account, Tindall told the Daily Echo: “I’m a little bit confused because Phil Billing didn’t complete yesterday’s training session.

“He came in. He went in to see the doctor, complaining of his hamstring. It’s one I’ll have to speak to Phil about himself.

“But in my book – if you’re unable to complete the training session and you come in from that the day before a game - and you go and see the doctor complaining of your hamstring, it means you're not fit enough to be involved for the game.”

The comment has since been deleted by Billing’s account.

Asked what message it sent out if the post was created by the 24-year-old, Tindall replied: “Exactly. That’s one where we have to have a discussion.

“Would I have wanted Phil Billing involved tonight? Of course, I would have done. That’s one I think we need to have a discussion about.

“Listen. I can’t really comment too much more other than tell you the facts of what’s happened.

“We will have to speak. Maybe it is him, maybe it’s not but it’s certainly one that we need to have a discussion about.”
