JASON Tindall revealed how Jack Wilshere had “unfinished business” at Cherries as he gets set for a sensational return to the club.

The Daily Echo understands the 29-year-old is today set to sign a short-term deal with the Dorset outfit until the end of the Championship season. Latest here

Wilshere, who cancelled his contract with West Ham in October, is expected to be registered in time for Cherries’ trip to Derby County in the Championship tomorrow (6pm).

Giving the latest on the move for the England international, Tindall said: “We are really pleased.

“We are very close, I’m not sure if it’s been finalised as of yet but I know we are very, very close to it being done, signed and delivered.

“So I’m really pleased to have such a quality player to add to the group. I’ve been really impressed with Jack in the short time he’s been here.

“He feels himself that he’s still got unfinished business here with the way his (previous) time ended with his injury.

“Whilst he was here it was the best finish in the Premier League the football club had and Jack has played a huge, huge part and reason for it.

“I think he wants to be a part of a team that have got an opportunity to achieve and to try to win something this year.

“It’s something he hasn’t had for a while and he’s looking forward to trying to help and contribute to that challenge.

“To add someone of Jack’s quality to the group of players we’ve got can only be a good thing for us for the second half of the season.”

Wilshere played 27 times for Cherries in the Premier League, while on loan from Arsenal during the 2016-17 season.

Tindall previously revealed the midfielder had got in contact with him about coming to train with the Dorset club last month.

Asked whether there was any difference in Wilshere between now and his previous loan spell, the manager replied: “As a player, he’s still got the quality he had then.

“The biggest thing when Jack came here was where was he going to be physically? He hadn’t played a lot of football at West Ham or not done too much for three or four months.

“When he came back in, I was really surprised by where he was. He’s still got a bit to do physically, but he’s training with the enthusiasm and keenness of a player that’s just starting out his career.

“That’s one of the big bonuses that Jack does bring. He brings that enthusiasm and attitude to every training session.

“When you’ve got a player that has experience, adding his quality and character to the group can only be a good thing.”
