JASON Tindall was left to rue missed opportunities as ten-man Cherries were beaten by Luton Town at Vitality Stadium, stating: "I felt we had three really big moments in the game."

Cherries played the vast majority of the contest a man light after Jefferson Lerma was controversially sent off for catching the face of Tom Lockyer with a flailing arm.

The Hatters went on to win 1-0 thanks to a goal from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Asked if he was content with the amount of chances his side created, boss Tindall said: "I felt we had three really big moments in the game.

"The Josh King one in the first half when we had 11 players where he’s through in the middle of the goal with the goalkeeper and he’s not connected with the ball.

"Dominic Solanke where he’s slid it under the keeper and to be fair to the lad he’s cleared one off the line. And then towards the end of the game, Roro (Riquelme) with a good chance and the keeper has pulled off a very good save.

"On top of that we’ve had 10 corners I think it was and we’ve had a few other good moments in the game. I’ve got no doubt, 11 v 11 we would go on and win that game comfortably.

"No doubt in my mind that that’s what would’ve happened. But even down to 10 men I still believed that we would score and get something from the game.

"Unfortunately for us it didn’t quite pan out that way, but ultimately the decision of the referee was a big moment in the game."

Discussing the challenge of playing with 10 men for more than an hour, Tindall added: "I felt we responded really well. I do believe that. I’m not sure what the exact thing was, but a team that had 10 men for 65 minutes and had 63 or 64 per cent possession and 13 shots I think it was and 10 corners, I don’t think is bad going.

"It was a challenge, you don’t expect to go down to 10 men after 24, 25 minutes, but I can’t question the attitude or application of the lads.

"I thought they were excellent and I felt they did more than enough to get something from the game."
