JASON Tindall insists David Brooks is "enjoying his time here" amid speculation over a January move to Aston Villa.

Reports suggest the Premier League outfit are targeting a bid for the Wales international this month.

He was also linked with a potential move to Manchester United or Sheffield United over the summer.

The Daily Echo understands Cherries have received no bids for the 23-year-old and boss Tindall is confident of keeping hold of one of his star men.

Asked if he has spoken to Brooks about his future given recent speculation, Tindall said: "No, David Brooks’s future is here at AFC Bournemouth. That’s where his future is.

"He’s contracted here, he’s enjoying his time here. He’s fit, he’s playing a lot of games and until anyone tells us otherwise, that’s the way it will remain.

"There’s always been speculation about David Brooks and many of our other players in every transfer window, so I don’t really take any notice of that, until someone tells me otherwise."

Cherries signed Brooks from Sheffield United for an initial £10million in 2018.

He has scored 12 goals in 62 appearances for the club.
