JASON Tindall admits Junior Stanislas's ankle injury "didn't look great", after he was forced off against Millwall last night.

The midfielder hopped down the tunnel with 20 minutes of the game remaining having been fouled from behind Ryan Leonard.

The Millwall man was booked for the challenge which ended Stanislas's evening.

Stanislas reportedly left the ground on crutches and wearing a protective boot.

Asked for an update on the 31-year-old, Tindall told the Daily Echo: "He hobbled off. It’s difficult to say. I think you have to assess these things within 24 to 48 hours.

"It didn’t look great when he came off, but we’ll just keep our fingers crossed it’s one of those things that settles down in the next 24 hours and isn’t too bad.

"But to try and say how bad it is now, so soon after the game, is very difficult."

The game ended 1-1 at Vitality Stadium with substitute Matt Smith's goal cancelling out Dominic Solanke's first-half opener.

Cherries sit third in the Championship table ahead of welcoming Luton Town on Saturday (3pm).
