LEWIS Cook praised the impact of coach Graeme Jones since he arrived at Cherries, adding: "He brings a different angle to football."

Jones joined the coaching staff at Vitality Stadium in August, following the arrival of Jason Tindall as manager.

The 50-year-old had previously spent much of his career as an assistant to Roberto Martinez at Swansea City, Wigan Athletic and Everton before following the Spaniard to work with the Belgium national team.

His only spell in management came last season where he spent just under a year in charge of Luton Town, who Cherries face tomorrow.

Jones left the Hatters by mutual consent in April.

Asked what impact the Gateshead-born coach has had at Cherries, Cook told the Daily Echo: “He’s been fantastic. He brings a different angle to football – he’s got a great knowledge of the game and he’s a great guy as well.

“He will tell you what to improve on and what you can do well. He’s very positive as a person.

“I think he’s been a great addition to our team. He’s been top this year."

Cook continued: “He’s got a great resume. He can bounce off his ideas internationally and stuff like that.

“He has seen a lot of types and styles of football and he can put his take on us and try to improve us as a team, which he has."

Boss Tindall added: "I know he enjoyed his time at Luton, disappointed he didn’t get to finish the job that he started, especially after turning things around there.

"But since he’s been here as part of my coaching staff, I’ve been really pleased with the work that he’s done and what he’s had to offer the current group of staff that we’ve got.

"I’m sure he’ll be filling me in with one or two things that might be important to be aware of for tomorrow."
