CHERRIES could be boosted by the return of Joshua King from injury for this evening's clash with Wycombe Wanderers.

The Chairboys visit Vitality Stadium, looking to pick up a result which could lift them out of the Championship relegation zone.

Victory for Cherries would take them top of the table.

And they could have striker King available for the first time since early November.

Having recovered from COVID-19, King then suffered a back injury in training last week which saw him miss games against Swansea City and Huddersfield Town.

However, boss Jason Tindall confirmed the Norway international could return tonight.

Speaking to afcbTV yesterday, Tindall said: "Josh King's back has settled well in the last couple of days.

"He's going to go out there and train again today (Monday). We're hoping to have Josh available for Tuesday."

Diego Rico will also return after missing Saturday's game with Huddersfield due to a one-game suspension having picked up five yellow cards.

But Cherries look set to once again be without injured duo Chris Mepham and Arnaut Danjuma.

"Meps unfortunately picked up a calf injury, which was a bit of blow for us," said Tindall.

"It's something that's not too bad and we're hoping to have him back in the next couple of weeks.

"He's certainly not going to be available on Tuesday.

"Arnie we're just being a little bit careful with, he's probably still not 100 per cent fit but he's getting there and he's very close.

"Thankfully everyone came through Saturday's game okay, it was a really big physical performance from everybody.

"We have no real (new) concerns and hopefully we should have everyone back fit."

Jack Stacey (knee) and Cameron Carter-Vickers (ankle) remain unavailable.
